In Italiano

I was born in Rome, in Italy, on June 27 1965.

In 1969, my family moved to Ostia, near Rome, in front of the Sea and near the Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport.  My father at that time was employed in Alitalia and changed home to be closer to dad's workplace.

In 1995 I married with Daniela, and we had  three daughters:

  • Giulia was born in June 1998

  • Flavia was born in September 2004

  • Claudia was born in April 2006

And yes, we still live in Ostia.

Digital Photograhy     The very first camera I ever used was a 1963 Canon Canonet, that my dad bought 2 years before I was born. (some time ago I got an old Canonet on Ebay... still working!). For years I loved to shot pictures, and when the time had come to use digital cameras, I was one of the first owners of this new media.

My actual DSLR cameras are a Canon EOS 350D and a  Canon EOS 500D. Moreover frequently travelling for business, I also own a small compact camera: a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX10

    Books

Reading opens your mind. You can discover stories, worlds and situations you could not discover elsewhere. Every evening, before sleeping, I ALWAYS read one of my books.

When I was younger I used to read the Science Fiction books from Asimov, Heinlein, Dick, Gerrold, Anderson. With age growing, I discovered the historic novels, and so authors like Jennings, Guild or, in my opinion, the best Valerio Massimo Manfredi. One part of my heart if filled by the J.R.R. Tolkien full opera. I loved Tolkien since the high school and I love read and read again his books.

    Wine

I love wine. Especially red traditional wine, not so "american" in taste, but done following the popular tradition.

Some time, my wife and me have a three days vacation in Chianti, Tuscany, on of the best land for red wine in the world. And we know where to go to buy some good bottles.

       Flight Simulation

Working in an airline company left me the passion in using all flight simulators, especially Microsoft Flight Simulator. I'm using it since the really first version.

    Scuba Dive

Scuba diving is a great way to spend vacations, or just to relax a sunday morning.
My wife Daniela and I are both PADI AOWD Divers, and we have a WEB Site fully dedicated to SCUBA. Feel free to visit it and enjoy all the links and the data we collected for you.

Tolkien Mythology

I began to read J.R.R.Tolkien's opera during high school. I discovered so "The Hobbit" in a book store, believing it was something for children. Since now I bought every book Tolkien published, and so I loved the elves and hobbits, and the land of dragons..

    Disney toons and movies

Since I was a child, I loved those comics. Reading them I remember my childhood. Today  I'm a collector of all Ducks stories by Carl Barks and Don Rosa.

Music

Music is important. Listening to the music, you can relax your mind and let you soul fly free from the everyday stress, so that your feelings could come up to the memory.

I really listen to EVERY musical genre. My hundreds-CD collection spans from pure folk to the heavy metal, from the former neworleans jazz to the chill-out, and from the classic 70's rock to the chamber music.

In july 2005 I bought an Apple Ipod 60GB, in which I loaded every CD I own and every song I buy from Itunes. It's so amazing to have all the my music at all time with me. Sometimes I ask myself how could I've been living for more than 40 years without having a device like this. On July 2007 I bought also a Zune. Really cool, so not only music in my pocket, but live concerts too :-)
